The Power of a Branding Session
Building Connection and Community Within Your Business
In today's digital age, where online presence often precedes face-to-face interactions, the imagery you use to show off your who your business is & what what it offers plays a pivotal role in establishing trust, fostering community, and ultimately driving growth. Professional brand photography is more than just a visual asset; it's a strategic tool that humanizes your brand and creates authentic connections with your community.
I hear all the time, okay but why does it really matter? Can’t I just take a few phone pics each day to post?
To that I say: High-quality, consistent visuals do matter. They allow you to develop a strong identity; which in turn makes it easier for your people and potential people to not only remember you but also connect with you. In areas where small businesses might feel like they are competing (and we are not fans of that word, but that’s a rant for another day) for attention, consistent branding visuals can be a powerful differentiator. Customers are more likely to choose a business with that uses high quality photo/video assets because they are tailored to your message. High quality doesn’t just mean taken with a fancy camera, but it also means that there was thought, planning, design, and other important elements used to create the image.
Going a step further... bringing that message into visuals in a consistent way also allows for easy brand identity. Think of how many times you see a photo of a product, service, meal, etc. and automatically wonder if it’s x place. That’s identity right in one photo. Maybe you were right, but if you weren’t and it was a different brand then the original brand you thought of is now on your mind. How powerful!
Now that leaves me with this. And ya’ll know I love to harp on community and looking at the people that buy from you as that, not just as consumers or customers. People want to support businesses that have humanization and qualities that they know, like, and trust. And I know, social media and online presence is like a whole other job, but people are watching. They are taking interest. If they already support you then they keep on watching because they are rooting for you. If they are still only following online, then this is your warm up for them to want to do the dang thing and either visit you or buy something online from you. So when these people can see the face behind the business or images that reflect the passion within your business, it allows them to connect to your brand on a deeper level.
This is also why we like to do B-Roll during sessions and capture “being the scenes” looking photos because these images and clips of your team can make your brand more relatable and approachable (and that full circles back to creating trust).
Branding photography doesn’t just mean headshots or product photos, and if you work with us you’ll notice that while we incorporate those we want a full rounded session that includes MORE. Sometimes a session is you at local events, or showcasing collaborations/ partnerships, or it can truly be a day in the life at the business or following your routine on a work day.
Incorporating professional brand photography into your small business strategy is more than just a marketing tactic; it's a way to build lasting relationships. Investing in brand photography is investing in the future of your business. These photos are a big component in fostering trust in a digital world, creating and maintaining engagement so that warm lead never cools, and at the end of the day leads to growth within your business to invest in other dreams you have for it.
